Policy
Use of Technology, Data Sources & AI Policy
How technology and data support research while human accountability and confidentiality are maintained.
Purpose
The Firm may use software, market-data systems, spreadsheets, screening tools, automation and artificial-intelligence tools to organise information, detect patterns, improve workflows or assist drafting.
Human accountability
Technology does not replace analyst responsibility. Research conclusions, recommendations, disclosures and publication decisions remain subject to human review and the Firm's supervisory controls.
Data sources and verification
Sources may include BSE/NSE filings, issuer disclosures, audited financial statements, regulatory publications, public databases and licensed data providers. The Firm seeks to use reliable sources but cannot warrant that third-party data is complete, uninterrupted or error-free. Primary-source verification is preferred where reasonably available.
AI safeguards
- Confidential client information and unpublished research should not be entered into unapproved public AI systems.
- AI-generated output must be checked for accuracy, source support, bias, confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
- AI must not autonomously publish a recommendation or promise returns.
- Material use of AI in providing research services will be disclosed where required by applicable rules or the Investor Charter.
Security and continuity
Access controls, backups, vendor review and incident response measures are applied proportionate to risk. Material technology incidents affecting clients will be handled and communicated in accordance with legal and contractual obligations.
This document is maintained by the Firm and may be updated to reflect regulatory or operational changes. Material client-facing changes will be communicated where required.
